OVERVIEW:
Tony Award nominee Timberlake Wertenbaker (Our Country's Good) has penned an unconventional adaptation of Grimm's Cinderella tale. In THE ASH GIRL, the seven deadly sins writhe in the forest, consuming anyone who crosses their paths while a young girl hides amongst the ashes. As Ash Girl fights through the fires to find her happy ending, relive the wonder and fear that Cinderella stories so often gloss over. It is a world of mythical proportions with fairies in the mirror, brave field mice, and stepmothers with only the best of intentions. |
