The Music In My Blood is a unique and compelling story that crosses continents, cultures, generations and musical styles. On one hand, it's the story of Walter Kaufmann, a Jewish refugee to India during WWII who gave India the iconic "All India Radio" tune, and also wrote books about the music he fell in love with.

It's also a story about 3 generations of Indian musicians and singers, who shape the country's music, and their personal struggles of identity. But the layers continue to go deeper in this poetic drama, exploring the female position in this world with strong characters - women that wish to stay in India, and those that want to go out and explore the world.

The playwright, Shubhra Prakash, fills the play with interesting family relationships, and plenty of insightful dialogue. Combined with it's strong cast, The Music In My Blood is a real winner and I highly recommend going to see it!
