This is a free event!
We at BodyStories could not be more excited to announce our upcoming project Inwood Erases Hate with Love—an arts-based, outdoor celebration centering around social justice for immigrant communities. The event will include music, dance performance, audience participation, and the creation and unveiling of the community-created banner, while actively incorporating stories of immigration, shared by artistic collaborators and audience members.
Inwood Erases Hate with Love aims to peacefully mobilize the Inwood community, and ultimately renew participants’ sense of acceptance, understanding, and connection to each other. This free event will take place on October 4, 2019 in Fort Tryon Park, and in preparation, the BodyStories company, in collaboration with YWHA, Bread & Yoga, Annette Aguilar, and Monica Robles, will hold free workshops culminating in the community-wide performance.
