Detailed Information:

En Garde Arts presents Tony nominee Pascale Armand’s $#!THOLE COUNTRY CLAPBACK, a rebuttal to Donald Trump’s comment about allowing people from “shithole countries” to enter the United States and a chronicle of the playwright’s family’s journey to American citizenship. This one-woman show tells a story that echoes those of many Black and Brown immigrants in America, highlighting the cultural straddling, battling of stereotypes, and struggle with patriotism that come with being caught between two lands that don’t always seem to love you back. With a provocative title and a raw truth, Armand presents a story of love, loss and national reflection that is timely, thought-provoking, and fearless.
$#!THOLE COUNTRY CLAPBACK will be the most recent in En Garde’s ongoing developmental series, Uncommon Voices, that is held monthly at The Commons Cafe in Brooklyn, New York.

Doors will open at 6:30 to allow for purchase of food and drinks before the start of the performance.
