Sarcasm Comedy brings to the Brook Arts Center, on October 5th Comedian Joe Matarese.
Matarese’s dream is following in the footsteps of his idol “Rocky” who just wanted to “go the distance” That journey has taken this Cherry Hill native to multiple appearances on the most sought after TV and radio shows including The Late Show with David Letterman, America’s Got Talent (where he received a standing ovation from all 4 celebrity judges and the crowd), Chelsea Lately, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and Craig Ferguson, and The Howard Stern Show. He had his own special on Comedy Central Presents and is the creator and star, of “Fixing Joe”, a scripted comedy based on Joe’s first podcast, as well as seven Standup Comedy Albums, Quiet Please, Fixing Joe, Disconnected, When A Comedian Attacks, Medicated, The Poster’s Wrong, and Completely Present, and 2 One-Hour Specials on Amazon Prime entitled Medicated and The Poster’s Wrong.
Joe’s comedy is about everything we deal with in our everyday lives. He’s the guy you’re cracking jokes with at a party in the basement – making fun of everything and everybody. Joe’s got the heart of Rocky with the edge of Tony Soprano and he imitates them both spot on. But impressions are only a small part of Joe’s show. Hysterical laughter is the rest! See for yourself https://www.joematarese.com/videos/. “I was never prouder of my friend than to see him open to a packed Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia for Sebastian Maniscalco” – Steve Trevelise.
Appearing with Matarese is Steve Trevelise who when is not talking Jersey on New Jersey 101.5 or Sports on 94 WIP he’ making fun of them in theatres, casinos, and comedy clubs throughout the tri-state area! Among the many people, Steve has opened for include Artie Lange, Pat Cooper, Robert Klein, Gilbert Gottfried, Louis Anderson, and the late Richard Jeni.
