The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition will take place April 8-12, at the Kaye Playhouse, with 200+ exceptional dancers from Poland to Brazil dancing for contracts with dance companies and scholarships at schools around the world. Charles Jude, former etoile of the Paris Opera Ballet, returns to head a panel of international company and school directors. Dancers compete in both classical ballet and contemporary dance styles, and this year a new category – Free Style Dance – has been added. The performance of April 10 will be devoted to an evening of K’Arts of Seoul, Korea – a company of 30+ dancers who will appear in a program of excerpts from ballet classics to original dances. Friday April 12 will begin with a Gala Performance, featuring an appearance by Valentina Kozlova and a stunning film in celebration of her 45 years of dancing in the West. The Gala will be followed by announcement of the 2024 prize winners.
