Clymove Dance celebrates 5 years with a spring gala and performances entitled “A Divine Abnormal,” a program of dances by founder/director Clymene Aldinger and guest choreographer JoVonna Parks, March 19-22 at New York Live Arts. The opening night gala, March 19, will also celebrate the power of women mentorship, with awards going to Aldinger’s mentors, Ana Marie Forsythe and the late Denise Jefferson. Both women will receive the Elisa Monte Leadership Legacy Award, named for Elisa Monte in whose company Aldinger danced for eight years.
