There’s no better place to be on Tony night than the StageBuddy Scoop Shop for treats like you’ve never had before! That’s right — while others may be out schmoozing at Tony parties, noshing on Broadway canapés and light bites, we here are taking a different turn, stirring up our own custom creations inspired by some of the evening’s Tony-nominated productions, in the form of everyone’s favorite frozen treat.
American Express – Partly inspired by Serendipity 3’s Golden Opulence Sundae, this somewhat unexpected pairing of a rich Tahitian vanilla ice cream with 23-karat edible gold leaf is the perfect selection for anyone looking to blow $5,000 on a decadent dessert. Top with Amedei Porcelana, the world’s most expensive chocolate, just because you can (“Screw it… go nuts!”) and serve with marzipan cherries in a Baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet. Bonus: Dig in using Dougal’s stolen spoon and enjoy it the lap of luxury… all paid for on Daddy’s credit card, of course. Put on the glitz, the spritz and sprinkle a little bit of glitter… everywhere!
Heart of the Ocean – Near, far, wherever you are – we’re sure you won’t be able to resist this tasty treat! A rose-infused sweet cream ice cream as blue as the sea, it’s packed with blue cotton candy pieces, candy hearts, and mini “iceberg” marshmallows. Finish with edible glitter, ‘cause we’re kooky crazy like that. What do you say to giving it a taste — shall we go for it?
Corn Puddin’ Schmurprise – My gal loves this delicious blend of honey-infused cornbread ice cream inspired by the signature dish of Schmigadoon! Stuffed with buttery cornbread pieces – as a sweet as a macaroon – and finished with a tangy, carnival-themed caramel apple swirl, it’s enough to turn you into someone who just can’t be tamed. Ready to taste the thing you’ve never tasted? Don’t worry… we’ve got extry, so put a bowl of this irresistible scrumptiousness in your belly ‘cause it’s good for the soul! Yum!
My Dessert is A... – The secret comes out! You’ll find you have to have our irresistible combination of jet black cake batter ice cream and the slightest injection of garlic... because, well, vampires. That’s mixed with maraschino cherries and decadent dark chocolate fudge chunks... to match the eery ambience in the Lost Boys’ lair, of course. It’s all drizzled with a generous amount of ooey gooey cherry syrup for good measure, and topped with gummy fangs, natch. A treat you’ll want to sink your teeth into — no matter what David says!
The Jelli-cone Sundae – Jellicle cats, come out tonight! Jellicle cats, come one, come all… for this delicious new twist on a traditional dessert. Start with nine scoops (natch) of a tart and creamy rainbow sherbet swirled with a raspberry jelly-cle filling. Top it with rainbow sprinkles and the fudge-covered waffle cone pieces to give it a fierce and feisty crunch. Finish with a mountain of whipped cream that goes “up, up, up to the heaviside layer” and a standard dusting of edible glitter. The category is… perfection! Feline, fearless, faithful and true indeed!
A New Syncopation – “Journey on” with this blend of vanilla ice cream with a tart cherry swirl and crackling red and blue rock candy – the perfect integration of the old and the new.To fully embrace the fire in your soul and chase the American ideal, top with red and blue licorice wheels of a dream. Just one bite, and you’ll come to hear new music… and you’ll never go back to before you tasted it again!
Rocky Road - It’s astounding… and it only took a small accident to make it happen. As unpredictable as the road Brad and Janet get stuck on (and the subsequent adventure they embark on), this classic combination of chocolate ice cream and slivered almonds meets a bit of unexpected whimsy, courtesy of crunchy potato chips and buttery blondie chunks, because you need a little light in the darkness of your dessert. It's a treat that’ll thrill you, chill you, fulfill you, and drive you insane; in other words, a treat you’ll remember for a very… long… time.
BONUS: Enjoy any of the above with an Arbiter cocktail (made with Cazadores tequila, hibiscus, chiles, lime, bitters & black lava salt), now available for a limited at Miss Nellie’s Restaurant & Bar. Add dry ice to your liking for a unique mist opportunity.
