Just in time for the holidays, “A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS”, a new musical revue, will be performed for one weekend only this coming holiday season Off-Broadway at The Actor’s Temple Theatre (339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) on Saturday, December 16th at 8:00 PM and Sunday, December 17th at 7:00 PM.

“A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS” transports the audience back to the Disco Era, to a taping of a special holiday-themed episode of the fictional music-dance television program “Groovy Wonderland” (inspired by the hit show “Soul Train”). The whole family should come ready to listen to – and sing along with – favorite songs from beloved groups such as The Temptations, The Supremes and The Jackson 5- after all, the holidays are the perfect time to get down! Written by Kendrell Bowman and Anthony Wayne and directed by Mr. Bowman, “A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS” reunites the creative team behind the hit musicals Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical and An Evening With Phyllis Hyman.
