Detailed Information:

Dark Comedy? Tragedy? Horror?
Think you know this play? Think again.

The development of this professional production originated during COVID quarantine and through months of research and the re-imagining of the script and its characters, has gradually evolved into a Nuance Theatre Co. main stage production under the direction of John DeSotelle.
Arthur Kopit’s CHAMBER MUSIC…..Like you have not seen before!

Synopsis: The story is set in 1938 and revolves around a meeting of eight women to discuss what to do about an imminent attack they fear is mounting from the mens ward. Housed in a mental asylum, the women are (or at least believe themselves to be) eight famous figures from history: Gertrude Stein, Susan B. Anthony, Joan of Arc, Queen Isabella I, Osa Johnson, Pearl White, Constanze Mozart, and Amelia Earhart. Come and join us up the attic stairs of the asylum for an urgent member meeting…… Are you ready to meet the Committee?

FEATURING: Emily DeSotelle, Judith Feingold*, Karen M. Hoffman*, Chanel Karimkhani*, Mickey Pantano*, John Rearick, Natalie Streiter, Tah von Allmen*, Joscelyne Wilmouth
*These actors are appearing courtesy of Actors’ Equity Association.

Please Note: This show is not recommended for individuals under the age of 18 due to occasional depictions of mental health issues among the patients as well as their treatment.
