Clymove Dance celebrates 6 years with a spring gala and a program of two world premieres: “Quiet Rebellion” by founder/director Clymene Aldinger and “Continuum” by guest choreographer Ashley Kaylynn Green, current member of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. March 19-22 at New York Live Arts. The opening night gala, April 9 will, as always with Clymove, also celebrate the power of women mentorship, with an award going to Dr. Phyllis Penney, Aldinger’s mentor while a student and educator in her native Florida.
