Detailed Information:

Singer/actor Jose Joaquin Garcia, longtime member of the Puerto Rican Travelling Theater, performs his one-man show “How I Survived The Lower East Side In The 70’s With My A.M. Radio,” joined by musicians on piano, percussion, and bass. Armed with only a transistor radio and a singing voice, our young Nuyorican hero Jose comes of age growing up on Avenue C. His show is filled with sometimes hilarious, sometimes poignant stories, uniquely woven with the songs of the early 70’s, proving the power of music and resiliency.
