Join co-founders Alessandra Belloni and John La Barbera for a grand one-night celebration of 45 years of I GIULLARI DI PIAZZA, the unique ensemble of musicians, vocalists, and dancers who specialize in authentic music, dance, and theater from Southern Italy, going back to the 13th century and performed in authentic costuming and instrumentation. I Giullari, which started its career at Casa italiana Zerilli Marimo, will return to perform excerpts from some of its many productions, including La Lupe, La Cantata dei Pastori, Dance of the Ancient Spider, and more. It’s more than a retrospective; it’s a Commedia dell’Arte story, rich with passion, rhythm, and the daring spirit of Souther Italian folk music.
