Celebrate the Epiphany with Alessandra Belloni, John T. LaBarbera, and their company I Giullari di Piazza, specializing in traditional Southern Italian folk music/theater/dance. The production, “Capodanno in Allegria,” performed in Italian and English, features traditional Renaissance Neapolitan music – tarantellas, villanellas, and pastorales – performed on authentic instruments and in authentic costuming. Special guests are stiltwalker Mark Mindek as the Angel Gabriel; Gypsy Joe as La Befana, the Good Witch of Christmas; and Giorgio Maltese of Catania, Italy, specialist on the Southern Italian bagpipe.
