The Joffrey Concert Group NYC announces the return of ICONS Dance Festival, in which they will be joined by Limon2 and BHDos (Ballet Hispanico 2), for 3 performances, April 4 at 7:30 PM and April 5 at 3:30 & 7:30 PM at the Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn. Joffrey Concert Group will perform Artistic Director Bradley Shelver’s “And The Things That Remain,” and the new “Of Light,” choreography and text by Ken Ossola, former member of the Netherlands Dance Theater. Limon2 will appear in excerpts from two Limon works: “The Unsung” and “Waldstein Sonata,” and BHDos will perform an excerpt from “Nube Blanco” by choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. On Saturday April 5, the ICONS festival will also offer master classes for dancers ages 14 to 25: 10 to 11:20 AM class will be taught by Bradley Shelver; 11:25 to 12:40 PM will be taught by Dante Puleio, Artistic Director of the Limon Dance Company; and 12:45 to 2 PM will be taught by Rodney Hamilton, Associate Director of the School of Dance at Ballet Hispanico. Class admission is $15 per class.
