Part of the inaugural Lincoln Center Contemporary Dance Festival, TORDRE is an intimate, sensitive duet celebrating atypical physicality. Set on two outstanding dancers, Annie Hanauer and Lora Juodkaite, French choreographer Rachid Ouramdane explores questions of identity, difference and personal expression. Challenging traditional representations of virtuosity, TORDRE (or twisting) is a highly poetic piece, where difference becomes a source of beauty and expressive power.
