Detailed Information:

Let the rhythm lift you in this energetic fusion of samba dance and functional fitness. A celebration of movement, culture, and community led by Marizete Browne and rooted in the vibrant rhythms of Brazil, this class is specially curated to enhance cardiovascular health, coordination, and full-body strength. As you relieve stress and embrace the power of movement, you will strengthen, tone, enhance agility, mobility, balance, and coordination!

From NewYork-Presbyterian, the Official Hospital of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts:

Dancing is a great way to build lean muscle mass, which helps boost your metabolism (your body’s way of turning nutrients into energy). When your muscles are active and your metabolism is higher, you’re better able to avoid issues like heart disease, high blood pressure, and joint pain, explains Dr. Rekha Kumar, an endocrinologist with NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine. So come get your muscles moving at our samba session!
