Choreographer Lydia Johnson, called “a craftsman and a poet” in The New Yorker, presents her Lydia Johnson Dance with special guest Craig Hall, former soloist with New York City Ballet. Hall will partner LJD principal dancer Laura DiOrio in several pas de deux woven into Johnson’s “Night and Dreams,” set to Schubert Lieder. Other dances on the program are set to music by Argentinean composer Henryk Gorecki and Handel. The evening will also see the world premiere of “Clearing” to piano works by Philip Glass.
