Detailed Information:

Choreographer Martita Goshen presents her Earthworks in “The Way of the Whale, ” a tribute to the great whales and prayer for their survival. Performance is June 5, in honor of World Environment Day, and will be performed by an ensemble of 9 dancers, dancing to an original score by composer David Darling and “Songs of the Humpback Whales,” by renowned marine biologist Dr. Roger Payne, who discovered that humpback whales sing. An additional event will take place Saturday, 10 AM to 12 noon: a Workshop led by Martita, an immersive experience for all, for ages 5 and up, exploring the way of the whale – their unique movement patterns, vocalizations, and behaviors that lead to their harmonious lives. Performance fee is $20; Workshop fee $15.
