The New York City Labor Chorus, directed by Jana Ballard, will appear May 5 at 4 PM in concert at St. Mark’s Church. The 40-member Chorus consists of members who belong to over 20 different unions, performing a repertoire that tells the story of labor’s history and struggles, drawing on gospel, jazz, classical, and folk traditions.
