Detailed Information:

Queernucopia, after a hugely successful show at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, returns with an outstanding evening of hilarity, diversity, and really good lighting. For our Pride month show, we have a hilarious headliner: Julia Scotti, featured extensively on “America’s Got Talent”. Her new brand of comedy is fierce, honest, and fearless. She has been described as a “force of nature”, “a cross between Sam Kinison and Mrs. Doubtfire”, and like a “chainsaw flying through the room”.

Julia was a quarter-finalist on season 11 America’s Got Talent in 2016. She was a judge’s favorite with Simon Cowell saying “you genuinely made me laugh”, and Howie Mandel quoted as saying “you have so much to offer, you are a joy. She’s also been seen on Showtime, Comedy Central, and been featured in The New York Times.

Molly Kornfeld is an up-and-coming comedian based in New York City. The daughter of two former stand-ups, she has been featured at the Boston Comedy Festival, and headliner clubs all over New York City. Molly likes to joke about her family, her dating life, and her experiences as a woman. She also hosts a podcast called Babes in Boyland, with fellow comedian Victoria Hoffman, on which they discuss being women in comedy.

Julianna Meagher is originally from Berkeley, California and is known, among other qualities, for constantly bothering employees of the Duplex. She has her BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU, and is now Script Coordinator for the incredible Nickelodeon show, Welcome To The Wayne. She has performed at the Stand, Broadway Comedy Club, and others, but her favorite credit is being referred to as “delightful”.

Tammy Twotone is a stand-up comic working in NYC and Boston. TWIST. She is the producer of Tammy’s TWIST at Broadway Comedy Club, and has shared the stage with Janeane Garofalo, Eugene Mirman, Judah Friedlander, and other major headliners.

Mehran Khaghani is remarkably gay and of Iranian descent, He has been a finalist in many comedy festivals, tours nationally, was featured on Season 9 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, has been seen on MTV, Comedy Central, IFC, TruTV and Seeso and is a regular at the world-famous Comedy Cellar.

Dana Friedman is, in all likelihood, New York’s first Orthodox Jewish, transsexual comic. Her performances address a wide variety of topics, including many outside the very unusual norms of standup comedy. She has been featured at Broadway Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, and New York’s Funniest Jewish Comic competition.Dana has appeared with or opened for Janeane Garofalo, Lizz Winstead, Yanis Pappas, Christian Finnegan, and other major headliners at clubs and theaters all over the New York tri-state area and occasionally beyond, when her parole officer is on vacation.
