Detailed Information:

Welcome to Los Angeles in 2029, still reeling from the memory of those fires 4 years ago. So when the Zen tech corporation hosts its ‘Earth Icon’ singing contest there, you can only perform new songs about climate change. Plus, you create music with the help of Zen’s (allegedly?) eco-friendly Artificial Intelligence assistants.

Meet Emmanuel “Manny” Brink — a failing electrician and country singer from Missouri who must win Earth Icon to save his comatose mother, Terra. He struggles against a ruthless Puerto Rican rapper, so Zen offers him Terra’s AI version. Just when he’s found the motherly support he never had, he discovers the AI runs on polluting fuels that might threaten the planet! Will Manny sacrifice happiness today for an uncertain tomorrow?

Apart from these timeless themes of hope and sacrifice, this modern musical explores our world’s latest challenges of Climate Change and Artificial Intelligence. Curious if this is your vibe? 3 fun sample songs are available here-

Yes, you’ll be part of our first show in NYC. But this musical has won funding from the Puffin Foundation, Ltd and been previously performed at the University of Chicago & the Oxford Climate Society. Here’s what some industry stalwarts had to say—

“The biggest strength you guys have in this show is your music – it’s exciting and interesting. Your approach… it’s very contemporary – it feels like something young people today would really want to listen to and can enjoy.”
- Elise Dewsberry, Artistic Director of New Musicals, Inc & award-winning actor

”EARTH ICON is clever and covers important topics in an unique way. It has clearly defined characters, made of flesh and blood, even E-Mom. It’s really, really wonderful.”
- Jamie Greenblatt, Executive Director, Play Cafe, Berkeley CA

The cast and crew embody the diversity needed for any meaningful discussion on climate. The cast includes Lauren Nathens, May Perez, Luke McGee, Hozaifa Momen, and Rebecca Phippard. In the crew, we have
award-winning Indian writer Abhishek Pandit (‘Closure Cafe’), a viral British musician Laurence Warner, Angel Katthi as Director, and Rose Van Dyne as Music Director. Earth Icon is a global story to help save the one place we all call home — Mother Earth. Get your tickets and join the adventure!
