The Eastern Bridge Theatre Troupe is thrilled to announce their new play, STRINGS directed by Kira Kull, and its premiere in New York this October!
Eastern Bridge Theatre Troupe seeks to give opportunities to foreign voices in New York City and operates on the idea that there are many unheard stories to be told that miss their chance to take flight. By creating the bridge for foreign artists within and outside the United States, our collective experiences motivate work that is revealing, significant and provocative.
STRINGS uncovers the humorous and touching complexities of mother/daughter relationships.
Synopsis:
STRINGS follows an evening of questioning and redefining the teachings found in a future mothers guidebook as eight month pregnant Lucy in 1950’s Chicago navigates each chapter in the confines of her living room. Each ’chapter’ of her evening has a reflection in the present, with a variety of funny, touching and thought provoking scenes.
