Detailed Information:

“The Two Noble Kinsmen,” a tragicomedy derived from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, begins as Athens defeats Thebes in war. Arcite and Palamon, Theban knights and devoted cousins, are imprisoned in Athens. From their cell, they see Emilia, the sister-in-law of Theseus, Duke of Athens. Both fall in love with her, becoming bitter rivals. The play illustrates how love can lead to enmity between friends; the virtues of gallantry; and how friendship and goodwill can triumph over rivalry and hatred. Director Hamilton Clancy is re-envisioning its story into a modern spy caper complete with two Russian spies, a corporate magnate and an Interpol spycatcher.
