THURSDAY MORNING POETS – who represent NYC’s broad cultural and ethnic diversity – will plant their original poems and stage public reading of their “Poetry in the Garden” at the 91st Street Community Garden/Riverside Park in support of global peace and sustainability, as they join in-concert with thousands of other poets worldwide, participating in the 11th annual global demonstration led by 100 Thousand Poets for Change (100tpc.org ) THURSDAY MORNING POETS (TMP) first met in an on-line prompt-based workshop led by Queens Poet Laureate and Academy of American Poets Fellow Maria Lisella in January 2021 and met in-person for the first time when they read their original poems at NYC Poetry Festival at Governors Island in July 2021. Since then, TMP has accepted invitations to read their original poetry via on-line & in-person and to conduct poetry writing workshops.
