The Soho Playhouse presents the Fringe Encore Series, featuring the “Best of the Fests” from around the globe, including Kerry Kazmierowicztrimm’s Wounded from the Hollywood Fringe Festival, where it won and was nominated for several awards (Top of the Fringe, Female Director of Distinction, and Critics’ Choice, among many others).

Wounded tells the story of a woman who is the full-time caregiver for her husband after he has been severely mentally and physically injured in the Iraq war. The woman is, for the first time, considering having a real relationship with someone new while still taking care of her husband. The play explores the question of what loyalty you owe your spouse when they stop being the person you married and puts the spotlight on some of the people affected by war whose stories aren’t often told.
