Operating as a volunteer-run community arts center, 2220 is an interdisciplinary event space that is focused on experimentation, improvisation and adventure across a broad spectrum of artists and art practices. Its calendar is curated and cooperatively programmed by several longstanding LA-based cultural nonprofits, concert and film series, as well as archival projects, including Black Editions, LA Filmforum, Mythscience Archives, Pehrspace, the Poetic Research Bureau, and the Unwrinkled Ear.
