Alphabet City Sanctuary was created by the community for the community.
We are a not-for-profit collective of community members that are working to provide an affordable local space dedicated to creativity, physical and spiritual health.
Tucked away on the third floor of the Sixth Street Community Center, the Sanctuary offers classes in various styles of Yoga, Tai Chi and Dance. We host workshops in holistic well-being, and have children’s programs in art, dance and music.
The Sanctuary provides evening events such as a regular Speakeasy which showcases local artists, musicians and poets. We also play host to new moon gong baths, full moon gatherings, and poetry/dance evenings.
Local artists are invited to exhibit their work on our walls, and we offer our space for rental.
We continue to grow as our community grows, and we hope you will join us.
