Bitcoin Center NYC is the only place in the U.S. dedicated to promoting Bitcoin, educating the public, and hosting the local Bitcoin community. In other words, we are THE place for Bitcoin! We have a strong following in the New York Bitcoin community and our events often feature and are attended by prominent figures in the Bitcoin world. But this is not enough. We will not rest until every man, woman, and child has a Bitcoin wallet and is transacting in Bitcoin!
Bitcoin Center NYC was first opened with a kick-off New Year’s Eve party on December 31st 2013. Almost one year later, we are still the only brick-and-mortar establishment dedicated to promoting Bitcoin and educating the public about the future of money. Located at 40 Broad Street in the Financial District of NYC, we’ve created a place where people can walk in and learn about Bitcoin at any time, just 100 feet from the New York Stock Exchange.
The highlight of the Bitcoin center is every Monday and Thursday night. Bitcoin Center holds “Satoshi Square” night twice a week, which draw hundreds of Bitcoin enthusiasts to trade Bitcoin face-to-face. In a sort of pseudo-stock exchange, visitors use their digital wallets to buy and sell Bitcoin, drink, and network. In addition, the night features prominent guest speakers at every event.
The Bitcoin Center is open 7 days a week to shed light on the world of Bitcoin to whoever walks in our doors! Our staff can provide an overview of Bitcoin on the spot or register guests for our comprehensive Bitcoin courses, offering everything from a basic “101” to expert level topics all taught by our staff of enthusiastic Bitcoin experts.
In addition, Bitcoin Center NYC seeks out any Bitcoin activity in the city and sends representatives. Representatives have met with politicians and the press to educate them on Bitcoin and answer any questions they may have, as well as harboring and growing the local New York Bitcoin community.
We are also proud to serve as an incubator for Bitcoin startups; providing valuable business experience, networking opportunities, and access to interested investors. In addition, our staff is on hand to provide their Bitcoin and marketing expertise to these budding companies.
Coming soon, the Bitcoin Center will be completely renovated with a stage for our speakers, sectioned off work areas for our staff and start-ups, a conference room for big business, and the best part – a high tech trading floor to facilitate person-to-person Bitcoin trading.
As an information resource for the public, the press, and officials we aim to end the paradigm of ignorance about Bitcoin. Our teams regularly go out to college campuses to teach students about Bitcoin. Our PR team is in contact with the media and always available to answer any questions they may have about Bitcoin. Our senior representatives are in talks with politicians making sure Bitcoin is on their agenda.
