February 2014 marks the gallery’s 30th Anniversary, making it one of the oldest continually operating galleries in New York City specializing in the art of photography. Since opening in 1984, the Laurence Miller Gallery has concentrated on the exhibition and sale of museum quality contemporary and vintage fine art photography, having presented over 250 exhibitions. In addition to specializing in American photography since 1940, Asian photography since 1950, and international contemporary photo-based art, the Gallery is the leading source for original Eadweard Muybridge Animal and Human Locomotion plates from 1887.
