The Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse is located on the 10th floor of the Rose Building (65th Street between Amsterdam and Broadway). You’ll find the entrance to the building midway down the block at the top of the staircase with the word “Rose” painted on it, on the north side of the street. An elevator and escalator from the street to plaza level are located just west of the stairs.
The Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse is our most flexible, multi-purpose venue. A self-contained loft located on the tenth floor of the Samuel B. & David Rose Building, the Penthouse features floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a wraparound balcony which provide sweeping views of the Hudson River and the Lincoln Center campus.
Originally home to Jazz at Lincoln Center, the intimate performance space is routinely used for Lincoln Center Festival and the American Songbook, Mostly Mozart, and Meet the Artist concert series. As a junior ballroom, the Penthouse is fully equipped to meet a variety of event needs. The venue features a kitchen onsite, coat check facilities, a check-in area, and restrooms. Built-in elements include theatrical lighting, a projection screen, room dividers, and a furniture package. The environment can be repurposed for anything from concerts to panel discussions, rendering it an ideal location for small to medium-sized forums.
