Page 22 is a performance space and classroom on West 22nd Street in Manhattan dedicated to furthering the legacy of Geraldine Page by creating a vibrant environment for emerging and established writers, directors and actors in the performing arts. Page 22 occupies the Chelsea townhouse on West 22nd Street where Ms. Page and her husband and partner Rip Torn lived and worked beginning in 1964. Page 22 is currently managed by their son, actor and director Tony Torn. Page 22′s studio space is 24′ x 15′ with a fourteen foot ceiling, a sound system, small lighting kit, and an HD projector. It comfortably holds more than two dozen audience members or students. Currently Page 22 is home to Apt 929′s film acting and coaching programs, lead by acclaimed actor Clark Middleton. Clark, who studied with Geraldine Page for close to a decade, has been a close friend and collaborator of Tony Torn’s for almost thirty years. Clark and fellow instructors Karen Chamberlain and Steve Park, offer unique training for working actors, by working actors at the highest level of the industry, in Page 22′s intimate studio.
