Detailed Information:

Adapted and directed by Edward Einhorn
From the novel by Paul Auster

Daniel Quinn receives a phone call. On the other end of the line is a man asking for Paul Auster, private detective. Quinn claims to be Auster and falls down a rabbit hole. A one man show with three performers, one of whom does all the speaking. Full of double and triple identities and using video and music throughout. Scored by Freddi Price (Drama Desk nominee for The Pigeoning). Adapted by Edward Einhorn from Paul Auster’s film noir-inspired absurdist first novel, the beginning of his New York Trilogy.

Untitled Theater Company #61 is a Theater of Ideas: political, scientific, philosophical, and above all theatrical. They produced The Havel Festival at the Ohio Theatre in 2006 and subsequently The Pig, or Vaclav Havel’s Hunt for a Pig in Ice Factory 2011. Other productions include Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and Lathe of Heaven at 3LD, Money Lab at HERE, The God Projekt and Iphigenia in Aulis at La MaMa, The Velvet Oratorio at Lincoln Center (concert) and The Czech Center (full production), the Off-Broadway production of Fairy Tale of the Absurd at Theater 80, the Ionesco Festival and the NEUROfest (plays about neurology).
