The Fini International Gala Performance and Dance Awards celebrates its 16th edition August 30, 8 PM, with a performance of dancers from Italy and the US, performing in a spirit of friendship and collaboration. Participating companies and artists include dancers from the Martha Graham Dance Company, Graham2, Ballet Eloelle Grandiva, Dzul Dance Company, and many more. Founder/director Antonio Fini will host the festive event, joined by Milan TV personality Tabata Caldironi. This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award will go to choreographer Michael Mao who, on the same evening, will also celebrate his 80th birthday. Leslie Andrea Wiliams, a principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, will receive the Extraordinary Dance Award and will also perform “Spectre” from Graham’s “Chronicle”.
