The New York Musical Theatre Festival opens on July 8th and goes through July 28th with performances all day from 3pm til 9pm.

StageBuddy.com was at the press preview at the Signature Center right off 42nd Street and interviewed some of the stars.

Anthony Rapp, famous for his roles in "Rent", "Next to Normal", and "Without You", can be seen in this year's NYMF show "The Water Dream".  He talks about the importance of being proactive as an actor, and goes into detail on how to take advantage of having an agent and a manager to create your own dream team.

During our StageBuddy interview, Richard H. Blake from the NYMF show "Feather" tells us how he broke his nose once backstage as Fiyero during a "Wicked" performance and remembers when a "Legally Blonde" actress lost her shoe on stage in the middle of a dance number.
