Theater for the New City’s Dream Up Festival proudly presents the world premiere of Syzygy. The house is empty. The boxes are full. And the two siblings who least want to be in this room together have nowhere else to go. Clearing out their late mother’s home, two estranged siblings unearth old wounds, clashing memories, and roles they never chose. Darkly funny and achingly honest, this one-act play that uses Jungian psychology and astrology to demonstrate the pull between opposites: male and female, self and other, the living and the dead.
