Conversations: A Two Monologue Play written by M. Stratton

'Conversations' is a two monologue play centered around the duality of women. The first piece, titled 'Dusk,' is an intimate exploration of a woman's relationship to her suicide attempt from nearly a decade prior. By explicitly remembering her past she finds a deeper gratitude for the now. In the second piece, 'Dawn', another woman recognizes that being an artist is not the freedom she'd imagined it to be. In fact, she sometimes feels trapped within her own passions. She must look within herself to find a reason to keep dreaming; a reason for it all to be worthwhile.

The Reparations Show

The Reparations Show is a variety show that will center stories created by and about Black and Indigenous artists. Each week is hosted by a different BIPOC artist. The show is the brainchild of Erez Ziv, managing artistic director of FRIGID New York, and Kevin R. Free, the Curator of The Queerly Festival. It was created as a way to offer paid opportunities for BIPOC artists. This month’s Queerly performance features exclusively LGBTQIAP+ artists, and marks the show’s first event with an in-person audience.

ALL MY DEAD UNCLES

ALL MY DEAD UNCLES is a naracissistic nepotic self-effacing deepdiving long-winded political/familial/parodical cathartic comi-tragic backstory of one woman’s collection of dead uncles. There are run-on sentences. There are jokes. There is also a minor amount of theatrical magic, but mostly it’s one queer woman on stage for less than 45 minutes explaining how all of her uncles died.
