NY Theater, will you be my Valentine?

New York! Are you Single? Dating? Partnered? Married? Divorced? Estranged? Or somewhere in between all that?  Human-to-human connection is what it's all about and Valentine's Day isn't going away, so make a night of it and watch a play.  In the theater you're immersed in environments that feed our desire to communicate -- and I've got 5 shows that won't let you down:

Cupid and Psyche

Poetry is the language of the heart and this new play, written in blank verse, speaks immediately to those who believe in love.  It is a retelling of the myth of Psyche and Cupid, the latter struck with the irrevocable sting of infatuation. Get more information here.

Platanos, Collard Greens & Callaloo

Producers David and Jamillah Lamb know a thing or two about love turning their romance and passion into art that's both rich in knowledge and satisfying.  An Off-Broadway show still running strong after 10 years, this production stays fresh with a cast of actors who are comedic geniuses. Find information on how to purchase tickets here, and don't miss out on our interview with producer and playwright David Lamb here.

O'Byrne and Debra Messing.  Need more convincing that this is a play to see? Read StageBuddy's review here.
