A terrific night was had by all as awards were given out at this years Bistros. 94 year old Jon Hendricks (of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross) was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, with Annie Ross on hand (also winning an award) and Grammy winner Kurt Elling doing a great version of a Hendrick song. Janis Siegel (of Manhattan Transfer) also performed (and won an award).
The show was hosted by the wonderful Jason Graae, with Sidney Myer as the voice of god. Daryl Kojak once again did a phenomenal job as musical director, along with house band Rex Benincasa (drums) and Ritt Henn (bass). And the show wouldn't happen without the herculean efforts of Producer Sherry Eaker putting it all together along with Director Shellen Lubin.
