Cabaret & Concert Artists International has announced that longtime cabaret impresario Erv Raible has died after a long illness. Before becoming the executive director of that organization, Raible co-founded the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs and won a Bistro Award for direction. Mainly, he's known for his years spent as owner/manager of New York's most notable mid-level nightspots: Eighty Eight's, Don't Tell Mama and The Duplex.
