The Fire This Time Festival gives a platform for early career playwrights to voice new stories of the 21st Century. This year they add to its 10-minute play tradition a full-length play: Camille Darby's "Lords Resistance". Darby's play tells a story about the well to do Whitakers, who adopt a former child solider from Uganda; as it turns out, what ensues in his new life might not be so different from his war-torn homeland. Directed by Christopher Burris, this insightful drama is filled with surprises, comedy and love shared between family.
Watch as StageBuddy's Glenn Quentin chats with Darby, Burris, and lead actress Tracey Conyer Lee with a behind the scenes interview as they gear up for their opening.
Performances of "Lords Resistance" begin January 22nd. Check out our full event listing here: https://stagebuddy.com/listingdetail.php?lid=16672
