Giant monsters from below the Earth's oceans have risen and the destruction of our planet is imminent. The only logical way to stop them: giant robots. Visionary director Guillermo del Toro trades in prosthetics for CGI in this immense blockbuster. It's not tracking too well, but with del Toro behind the camera, you can assume that Pacific Rim won't be as mindless as Transformers.

Despite a Rotten Tomatoes ranking of 9%, the first Grown Ups earned $162 million. The lower-than-lowbrow humor isn't our cup of tea, but if you enjoy Adam Sandler and his trademark fart jokes, silly voices, and celebrity cameos, you'll probably like Grown Ups 2.

The true story of Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old Bay area resident that was wrongfully shot and killed by police officers on New Year's Day, 2009. Michael B. Jordan delivers a phenomenal performance, and Ryan Coogler establishes himself as a writer/director to watch. Fruitvale Station won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Choice at this year's Sundance Film Festival.

This Danish film originally came out last year overseas and earned a BAFTA nomination for Best Film Not in the English Language. The film stars Mads Mikkelsen, who you may recognize from the new hit series Hannibal. Mikkelsen plays a teacher that is slowly putting his life back together after a divorce. Just as things start to look up, a scandalous lie puts him at the center of a massive manhunt.

Last year, V/H/S became a surprise hit amongst horror fans, despite being excessively abhorrent. If you're unfamiliar with it, V/H/S is a horror anthology that was comprised of six short films. V/H/S/2 is in the same vein but allegedly is a much easier pill to swallow than the oppressive first installment. That doesn't mean it's any less bloody.

This documentary may be more relevant now than the filmmakers could have dreamed thanks to the recent controversy surrounding the NSA. Terms and Conditions May Apply attempts to reveal what information corporations and the government obtain from you when you use the internet or your cell phones. This film will be playing at Quad Cinema in NYC.

At Sundance this year, star-and-director combo Michael Cera and Sebastian Silva presented two films, one of them being Crystal Fairy. The movie revolves around Jamie (Cera), who is traveling in Chile to find a fabled hallucinogenic drug. You can find Crystal Fairy at the IFC Center.
