At 5pm on Friday, after failed fee negotiations, Time Warner Cable cut off access to CBS, the most-watched network on television. Showtime, a premium channel owned by CBS, was also blacked out -- even though many customers pay an additional $14/month for it.

The people have spoken, and they're dissatisfied with being punished for TWC's and CBS' inability to work out a contract. They're also frustrated by their inability to switch to another cable provider. With CBS losing a reported $400,000 per day during the blackout and customers everywhere angered by TWC's actions, this is truly a conflict in which nobody wins.
